- 소개/요약Executive function is the key concept of mindfulness. Mindfulness training, a training of present-moment attention, has been found to enhance executive function, and related cognitivefunctions. It is proposed that the effects of mindfulness training on depression and anxiety is mediated by improvements in executive function. There is evidence that improved executive function may lead to improvements in emotional control, subjective/psychological well-being, and empathy. Mindfulness training enhances not only executive function and endogenous/top-down attention, but also exogenous/bottom-up attention. It was also suggested that endogenous and exogenous attention are mediated by the same underlying mechanism, cognitive resource flexibility. The anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) is expected to support cognitive resource flexibility. An extended model was proposed, wherein mindfulness training trains frontal-parietal network and cingulo-opercular network, leading to the broader adaptive effects.
