- 소개/요약This study addressed self -discipline methodology and its practices based on major contents of 'Lankavatara'.The fundamentals of self-discipline refer to the interpretation of phenomena and existence in everyone's mind, as well shown in some Buddist propositions such ans 'every being is what is projected from every mind.' 'we realize minds' or 'when our heart is clean, so is our land. And if our heart is unclean. so are all mankinds and our land.'The wisdom to identify different characters of every being and his true nature under phenomenal world, as asserted by Yogacara School, refers to the wisdom of Buddha as the foremost wisdom in the world. It means the wisdom to realize 'the essence of every being' By means of this wisdom, Yogacara School tried to demonstrate that there is not any independent and central ego in the existence of human beings that are composed of all elements. They attempted to clearly examine 'the whole' or 'the sole(matra)' under the influence of traditional attitudes like that. Afterwards, the theory of Sole Consciousness was established, which told that 'the whole is only the knowledge'.
