- 소개/요약Jingak Hyesim of the Sooseon temple is one of the eminent member in Korean ganhwaseon tradition. He followed and developed the teaching of Bojo Jinool who is the founder of this tradition. Hyesim composed the Seonmoonyemsongjip(禪門拈頌集). It consists of thirty volumes containing eleven thousand twenty five gongans. In this work, he shows how to practice gongans and how to realize the Buddha nature properly. In addition, Hyesim wrote another book, Goojamooboolsunghwaganbyungron(狗子無佛性話揀病論). This work introduces the way of practicing Jojoo's famous gonan, "a dog does not have the buddha nature" and that of avoiding falling down seonbyung(禪病). However, Hyemsim's thought of ganhwaseon has not been yet examined so far. The main reason is that there is no detialed study on his Jogyejingakgooksaeorok(曹溪眞覺國師語錄). The aim of this paper is to investigate his ideas on ganhwasoen in this work. This paper focuses on Hyesim, together with his teacher Boojo, adopted ganhwaseon, which was established in the Song dynasty in China, and unfolded it in Korean way. Its change resulted from the historical situation of the Gorye dynasty at the time when he belongs to.
