  • 소개/요약Some reports have shown that qigong and yoga are effective in the treatment of illnesses caused by stress, but long-term effects are not fully understood. This study aims to determine the kind of changes in the health condition and daily life felt by males who regularly participate in exercise classes that combine qigong and yoga. Semi-structured interviews were administered to three male participants who have participated in such classes for eight or more years, with the data analyzed using qualitative and descriptive methods. The results were classified under the following three headings: [Changes in self-care ability], [Changes in physical functions], and [Changes in work and daily life]. [Changes in self-care ability] is related to ‘Doing qigong and yoga as it has become a daily regular activity’, indicating that the participants practice what they have learned in the classes in their daily lives. [Changes in physical functions] shows changes, such as ‘Alleviation of chronic illnesses and prevention of lifestyle related diseases’ as well as ‘Improvements in flexibility’.
