  • 소개/요약The London Buddhist Centre is at the heart of a varied and vibrant community of Buddhist practitioners in East London. We teach Buddhism and meditation in a way which is relevant to contemporary life. The London Buddhist Centre is a registered charity and runs on generosity. All of our class and retreat leaders are volunteering their time and those who work full-time at the centre are supported according to their needs rather than paid a wage.Anyone is free to take part in our activities whether or not a Buddhist and to whatever degree you wish. Some people choose to deepen their involvement with the community in various ways. For Buddhists, community (or 'Sangha') means friendships based on a shared vision of what is most valuable in life. If you want to deepen your practice at the LBC, we’ll help you to keep on taking the next step, whatever that is for you.The London Buddhist Centre is part of the Triratna Buddhist Community, a worldwide community of people trying to effectively practice the Buddha’s teachings in the conditions of the modern world. Founded in London in 1967 by Urgyen Sangharakshita, and originally called the Friends of the Western Buddhist Order, Triratna’s unique approach has enabled a living Buddhism to flourish in diverse cultures across the world.
