  • 소개/요약The positive health benefits of meditation have become widely accepted as mindfulness based interventions (MBIs) grow in popularity. Unfortunately, many individuals quit their meditation practice due to the dozens of hours of practice and the steep learning curve required to experience health benefits. Recently, it has been suggested that transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) can be used to accelerate and enhance meditative practice in a paradigm known as E-Meditation. We investigated whether E-Meditation, administered in a large group setting, could reduce mind wandering, decrease perceived stress and restless, and improve mood state. Feasibility, safety, and tolerability of self-applied tDCS was also monitored.
