- 소개/요약Health behavior refers to any behavior that affects physical or mental health or quality of life.1 Unhealthy behaviors such as tobacco smoking, alcohol and substance use, excessive eating, and nonadherence to medical regimens account for a substantial proportion of global disease morbidity and mortality, and for 40%–50% of the risk for early death in the United States.2–6 All-cause mortality is inversely associated with healthy lifestyle behaviors, and changes in unhealthy behaviors can lead to improved physical and mental health outcomes.7 Despite widespread awareness, it remains exceptionally difficult to initiate and maintain health behavior change.2
