  • 소개/요약Although Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) is the first-choice intervention for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), a notable proportion of patients either do not respond to treatment or relapse after CBT. Mindfulness-Based Interventions have been found to be effective in patients with Depression and Anxiety Disorders, and preliminary evidence suggests that it may be helpful in individuals with OCD. However, only few studies have been conducted with clinical samples of OCD patients. The aim pf the present pilot study is to evaluate the impact of a new manualized therapeutic program, the “Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy for OCD (MBCT for OCD)”. The 11-weeks group program was delivered to 35 patients who were assessed at baseline, half-treatment, post-treatment. All the patients completed treatment, moreover they showed a significant reduction in mean Y-BOCS score (p<.001) with moderate effect size (Cohen’s d=-0.72). Moreover, significant changes were found in depression, worry, alexithymia, dissociation and general psychopathology in the early phase of treatment. The reduction in OCD symptoms was associated to the increase in mindfulness skills, and particularly with the following facets: acting with awareness (p=.006), non-judging (p=.001), and nonreactivity (p=.001). Overall, these promising findings suggest to conduct further randomized controlled studies to test the effectiveness of this new treatment program for this challenging and disabling mental disorder.
