- 소개/요약A diagnosis of cancer is frequently experienced as traumatising by the individual and their family, with over a third of individuals diagnosed meeting criteria for clinically significant levels of distress (Carlson et al. 2004a; Mitchell et al. 2011). In addition, fear of recurrence has been indicated to be pervasive and may be experienced five or more years after the initial diagnosis (Koch et al. 2013). Clinical guidelines have proposed that psychological interventions should have an integral role in the services offered to individuals with cancer (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence 2004), with mindfulness-based interventions (MBI) representing a leading intervention (Shennan et al. 2011).
