- 소개/요약An increasing number of studies report improvements in the physical and affective symptoms of a broad range of conditions following mindfulness-based practices (Greeson 2009; Baer 2003). Moreover, recent research points to the development of mindfulness traits as predictive of improved symptomatology and well-being (Carmody and Baer 2008). One set of symptoms that has yet to be explored through the lens of mindfulness is that associated with the premenstruum. Given that premenstrual symptoms may be physical, affective, and impair quality of life and well-being, it is reasonable to expect improvements in such symptoms from mindfulness-based practices. Still, a mindfulness-based intervention has yet to be developed for premenstrual symptomatology. Given the costs associated with intervention research, there is a strong need to produce sound justification for intervention development.
